Principal's Message
Welcome to Jabir Bin Hayan School , a beacon of hope in the heart of Yemen.
Since our inception in 2008, we have faced trials that tested the very foundation of our school. The devastation caused by the post-Arab Spring and the unjust war imposed by Saudi Arabia has brought immense suffering to our country. Throughout the relentless bombing and turmoil, we have stood strong, committed to providing education to the children of Yemen, no matter the obstacles.
Our journey has not been easy. The physical and emotional toll of war has affected us all, but our resolve remains unshaken. We have worked tirelessly to rebuild and continue our mission, understanding that education is the key to a better future. Even in the darkest of times, we have extended our support to those who need it most. Our doors remain open to poor and needy students, offering tuition discounts and, in many cases, providing free education to the most vulnerable. It is our belief that no child should be denied the right to learn, regardless of their circumstances.
Despite the hardships, we strive to offer a full, enriching educational experience. We are proud to continue offering music and art lessons, fostering creativity and expression even amidst the chaos. Sports and recreational activities remain a core part of our curriculum, providing much-needed relief and joy to our students. We also organize summer camps to help struggling students catch up academically and to ensure that no child is left behind.
As we look to the future, our commitment is clear: we will continue to serve the children of Yemen, come what may. We believe that through education, we can build a brighter tomorrow, even in the face of adversity.
Thank you for standing with us on this journey.
With gratitude and determination,
Nasra Alvi
